Visual Studio Magazine presented awards in three categories. The Readers Choice Awards are given to products that received the most readers' votes. The Readers Choice Merit Awards are given to products receiving a high number of votes that also show real value to Visual Studio Magazine readers. The Editors Choice Award is given to products that shows special merit or innovation, but do not fit comfortably into the standard categories .
