October 30, 2008 - - DiscountASP.NET, a leading innovator in Windows Server 2008 hosting, and Microsoft announce a partnership to provide a free sandbox hosting program for testing the Microsoft Web Deployment Tool. This program is designed for developers to get early experience with and provide feedback on next-generation web application packaging and deployment scenarios.
This partnership and beta program was unveiled on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at the Professional Developers Conference 2008 in Los Angeles during the session entitled, "Deploying Web Applications with IIS 7.0 and the Web Deployment Tool."

The free Web Deployment Tool sandbox hosting program is offered as an open beta and is limited to the first 2000 people who register. The beta hosting account comes with 50 MB of disk space and 50 MB of SQL Server 2008 database space. Interested developers are welcome to sign up at labs.discountasp.net. The sandbox program will continue until March 31, 2009.
